About Edna Ledesma

Edna Ledesma is an expressive dancer known for her passionate, emotional, vibrant and sensual style. Her journey in dance began at a young age driven by her love for movement and music.

She is more than a performer, equally embracing being a teacher, a mentor, and guide. She creates welcoming and nurturing spaces where adults can discover or reconnect their bodies and emotions through dance.

Dance Background

– Formal childhood training of ballet from age 8-16 yrs old;

– Jazz, Hiphop, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Flamenco classes followed;

– Started International Ballroom Dancing since 1996 up to the present; Specializes in Latin Ballroom such as ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble , Jive and has won in over 60 Amateur Latin dancesport competitions from 1997-2005;

-2005 up to the present – embraced Argentine Tango;

-1999 up to the present – teaches all kinds of Latin dances and Argentine Tango as well as fitness exercises

-2006-2011 – TV 5 Shall We Dance mainstay judge ( Philippines);

– 2005 United Kingdom Alliance Licensed Professional Latin Teacher in Fellow , acquiring other certifications such as Associate and Licentiate;

-2006 World Dance Council Adjudicator License – judges dance competitions in the Philippines and Asia;

– Performer in Latin and Argentine Tango;

-Choreographer in various dances for shows, competitions, weddings, anniversaries and other occasions

– Group and Private Classes offered in the following dances-

ChaCha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Hustle,Bachata, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Boogie, Kizomba, etc
